For now, I'm sure many of you have heard millions of toys Mattel had to recall. The first recall is due to lead paint. The second recall is due to magnets that were in toys with more lead paint recalls. All these toys were manufactured in China.

Let us look at this:

1) China: Is there a law stating that all toys must be manufactured in China? No, people get goods manufactured in China because its cheaper, and then the company sells toys for 4X the price and makes a significant result. All companies do. Is he smart? But if you have quality control and you are testing really lots to test the safety and quality.

2) painting Lead: Ok, so the toys had lead paint. Has anyone asked China where lead paint has come? Is this a painting that gave Mattel their manufacturers? Everybody talks about how toys are bad because they had lead paint. But does anyone want to know where lead paint coming, and what other elements it is used? I know I want to know.

3) How many toy companies around the world think you have used the same Chinese company? I'll bet there are a bunch. Mattel and Hasbro are the largest toy companies, but you have other companies like MGA Entertainment and other brands, like the people who make the Wal-Mart, Toys, Kids something, I can not remember the name. Has anyone checked to see if these toys were manufactured in China too? They probably were. Who was the Chinese manufacturer? You know? I do not know either, but you think that is something we should know? Lead paint can be found on jewelry and Claire had a recall a year ago due of lead paint. No one walks around with a detector of lead paint, so its hard for us to know whats and whats not contaminated.

4) Does this Mattel recall hurt? ABSOLUTELY! I went to the store the other day to buy a toy. And then I put it back on the shelf because I saw it was made by Mattel and has a surface that has been painted. Yes, the toy stores are expected to take all the contaminated toys off shelves, but that is really verification to ensure that toys get removed? Probably the right to remove items recalled, but who is checking for ensure that the law is respected?

5) Mattel and behavior: Speaking from personal experience, people from Mattel can be nasty. Whenever I send letters to them, they always send the letters back to me and unread in the original envelope. I suppose they think Mattel are too good to read the letters on the outside. Thats a shame because I saw the toys with magnets and I knew they could be dangerous but I have not bothered to write to Mattel because I knew they were going to send the letter to me unread. You be the judge and tell me what easier: read a letter from a lover of toys on a toy or potentially dangerous to refuse to read the letters and having to deal with a point in the world?
