How can a multi-company one billion U.S. dollars as Leggett & Platt force you to repay a work comp settlelment?
It is proven that Leggett & Platt changed from one machine and the end result was the loss of a finger and very limited use of one hand due to the malfunctioning of the machine. A lawsuit against the manufacturer of The machine proved that Leggett & Platt changed the machine. The machine manufacturer has offered a settlement, but Leggett & Platt to make a provision in the legislation that my husband repayment of the original work comp settlement. An offer was made that no further legal action against Leggett & Platt as they signed off on the repayment of the toilet system, but they refuse, saying they want their money. Can they really away with this kind of legal Mumbo Jumbo? Between what the lawyers away with and what questions to Leggett & Platt, where they will run fails, it seems like a waste time to settle, but going to court runs the risk of receiving nothing, that's almost what my husband will walk away with.

Unfortunately in this situation, because your husband's employer changed the machine it is liable for injuries not covered under the workers comp. Why does your husband want to farm worker comp money back? Probably because now requires the employee insurance company will come after your spouse to pay a claim that shoudn't have been paid. Your husband does not agree with the provision in the settlement. Perhaps the lawyer can negotiate and to remove that provision.
