How does water or moisture get into my compressed air?
Answer:
Thanks your compressor inlet.
Water vapor (humidity-moisture) enters the system through the air inlet filter air compressor air. The air compressor draws about 7 cubic feet of atmospheric air at 0 psig, and the volume of air is compressed in 1 cubic foot of air at 100 psig. Water vapor (humidity-moisture) that was in the 7 cubic feet of atmospheric air is now compressed into 1 cubic feet of compressed air.
Over there are 3 forms of water in compressed air:
Liquid water
Aerosols (fog)
-Steam (gas)
Any of these forms of moisture can create problems on the road equipment or May cause serious problems in your process or end product today.

How does a refrigerated air dryer work?
Answer:
 • The refrigerated air dryer cools the incoming compressed air first in an air-air heat exchanger where the outgoing cool pre-dry air cools the hot air and condenses some moisture.
 • Then the incoming air enters an air-refrigerant heat exchanger where the air is cooled 38A º F by the liquid refrigerant. This process resulting moisture condenses into liquid water and is evacuated. The air enters the air and heat exchanger air and heated to keep the outside pipe sweating.
 • The refrigeration compressor pumps to Hi hot-pressure refrigerant gas (Freon) into the condenser which transfers heat from the refrigerant gas in the ambient air as the gas condenses into liquid.
 • The liquid refrigerant (Freon) is then measured with a cold low pressure where it enters the air the refrigerant heat exchanger and the heat of the hot compressed air is adsorbed into the cold refrigerant (Freon). The compressor refrigeration refrigerant then sucks low pressure hot gas (freon) in the refrigeration compressor and the cycle begins again.
BOTTOM LINE: If you are a victim of unwanted moisture and water in your compressed air system, then seriously consider adding a refrigerated air dryer. After all - What is the best way to spend your money - on constant maintenance, no equipment and ruined the finished products or by investing in a dryer properly sized compressed air?
