What would cause the wired remote on my Select Comfort Sleep Number bed to not display the numbers right?
The digital display is only "one part "of the song on both remotes. I can not troubleshooting information for them - even through the site. I was wondering if anyone else had similar problems and how was solved? (And before anyone says - replace the batteries - there are no batteries). Thank you.
Most digital displays today are LCD screen. The LCD display "fed" the signal via a conductive strip along the edge of the screen that connects to the circuit board to generate the display information. If that makes conductive strip not contact, one or more segments of the display will not receive their electrical signal, and your screen will be missing pieces of the songs. If EE, I consider such devices (when unplugged) and cleaned the contacts. Usually, when re-assembled, the display works again. Unless you know much about electronics, you'd best stay out of the device and allows a qualified technician fix it.
