Battery Pump
Ford Explorer maintains the battery die and I have to keep my fuel pump reset?
I have an Explorer 92 'Ford, the battery died, it.At and replacing the same time, the fuel pump had to be restarted. The same week the died.I new battery replaced again, and again I had to reboot the fuel pump.There appears to be something draining the battery, I have found alternative and is charging properly.Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thanks
Sorry, but whoever told you about the fuel pump reset played a practical joke. There is no such thing. As the battery runs out, Ford is famous for wiring poor. Over the years, the insulation breaks down causing all sorts of strange problems. Start with the leakage current measurement - not exceed 50 mAmps. If more, start to remove the fuses one by one until the circuit as the cause. At the point, you're on your own because it is possible that the problem is somewhere inside Harness ... You can try to find and repair the fault, but if not, the harness (as a main engine harness) replacement is approximately $ 2,000.
